ONYX LIQUISOL 5055

DESCRIPTION

LIQUISOL 5055 is a solvent solution of a polymeric additive wax inhibitor specifically designed to prevent the growth of interlocking wax crystals in crude oils that contains above-normal quantities of wax.

APPLICATION

LIQUISOL 5055 is used to reduce the deposition of wax from crude oils in good tubing, production flowlines, and crude oil transport pipelines. LIQUISOL 5055 should be added to the crude oil as far upstream in the system as possible, preferably at a point where the temperature is above the cloud/precipitation point of the wax. This allows the inhibitor to prevent nucleation of the crystals before  growth can take place.

Dosage rates depend on the wax content and pour point of the crude oil and laboratory tests should be conducted prior to field use. The product should be added continuously at 50 – 500 ppm with respect to volume flow, depending on the laboratory results.
